Who we are

The Max Pack is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (EIN 37-2214311). This policy explains how we handle information collected through themaxpack.org.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few limited ways:

• Email signup: if you join our mailing list, we collect the email address you provide.
• Contact form: if you message us, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
• Donations: if you donate, your payment is processed by a third-party payment processor (Givebutter). We do not collect or store your card or payment details ourselves — please see Givebutter's own privacy policy for how they handle that information.
• Site usage: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, general location, device type). This is aggregated, anonymized-where-possible usage data, not personally identifying on its own.

How we use information

We use the information above to send occasional updates about The Max Pack to subscribers, respond to messages sent through our contact form, process and acknowledge donations, and understand and improve how people use our site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third-party services to run this site, each of which has its own privacy practices: Netlify (website hosting and form submissions), Givebutter (donation processing), and Google Analytics (site usage analytics). We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies if you'd like more detail on how they handle data.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand site traffic. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's browser add-on, without affecting your ability to use the site or donate.

Data retention

We keep mailing list and contact form information for as long as it's useful to our communications with you, or until you ask us to remove it. You can unsubscribe from our email list at any time using the link in any email we send.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time, and you can contact us to request that we delete information you've submitted to us. Reach out through our Contact page for any privacy-related request.

Children's privacy

Our site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as The Max Pack grows. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
